Dr. Allan Sandor is an endodontist in Jacksonville, Florida. He focuses on the interior of the tooth and can help diagnose tooth pain and perform root canals. It’s ideal to visit Dr. Sandor if you’re feeling any tooth pain and follow up with Dr. Sandor after treatment, absent additional tests that suggest a serious problem.

6 years agoDr. Sandor and his staff are excellent! As a fellow dental professional in Jacksonville, I went to Dr. Sandor's office as a patient in pain. I knew a root canal was necessary and he was professional and informative from start to finish. He cares about his patients and is very talented in his field. The procedure was pain free and done to perfection. Outside of that his assistant helped make me feel comfortable from start to finish. I recommend him highly to my patients and anyone needing to eliminate tooth pain as I am not pain free!!

8 years agoDr. Sandor and his staff are wonderful. He is honest about costs and options, non-judgmental, and extremely knowledgeable. Jennifer, his assistant, was friendly and comforting. The office is well decorated and as welcoming as a dental office can be. The root canal was literally painless (even the numbing). I would return to Sandor Endodontics for any additional endodontic work and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a root canal!

4 years agoI love Dr Sandor, and everything about his office. It is so rare to find someone who has amazing skills, and is very honest. Unfortunately I have had to have two root canals, both of the teeth I told were probably not going to make it. Well, a few years later, I still am doing fine. I also appreciate doctor Sandor's honesty. He will never do any work that is absolutely not necessary on a patient just to get paid. Office is modern, and up-to-date. Staff is lovely and accommodating. Cannot say enough nice things about his establishment.

4 years agoToday, I saw Dr. Sandor for an emergency consultation for a root canal. The office was accommodating at every turn. I also, had my two children with me ages three and two, since it was an emergency appointment. They were so sweet and nice to the children and I, which I truly appreciate. The office is very modern and clean. Dr. Sandor was able to rule out the need for a root canal, which was even better! I highly recommend this office for anyone needing to see an Endodontist.

3 years agoI was grossly miss-lead by Dr. Sandor's office on the cost of the procedures. I feel that I was completely cheated. Dr. Sandor's office asked for and received all of the information about our dental insurance coverage. However, despite what his office staff told the doctor, my wife and I were never informed that he was out of our dental network nor what the cost of the procedure would cost before charging my credit card. The dental procedure needed and performed was covered by my dental insurance policy ($588 or $294/$294) but he charged an extra $1,122 over the amount or a total of $1,710 for a simple procedure. My insurance coverage pays a dentist for reasonable coverage for this dental procedure for this geographic region. I felt this was unfair and I wanted to speak to Dr. Sandor. I was informed via email he admitted that his staff did not communicate the cost of the procedure correctly beforehand. When I politely asked to speak or meet with him to review the chain of events both by email and by phone, he refused to even call or speak to me. I told him I would be available to meet at his convenience. He was able to have my wife sign the credit card after the procedure and being drugged for the procedure and informed us that he would refund any overage that the insurance company paid but never did pay the amount over my insurance coverage. He and his office staff are completely unethical and unprofessional. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. I also have to admit that I didn’t think to ask beforehand if he was “In Network” with my dental insurance policy. Common knowledge would have it that if we knew beforehand the cost Dr. Sandor was changing over our insurance coverage and that he was "Out of Network", we would naturally have found a different Endodontics. There was poor communication on both sides and I was trying to be reasonable and compromise on the situation. However, Dr. Sandor still refused to even take my calls and discuss the information. The procedure was a onetime event and he realized that he will never see us again so why give back the money. I am not a disgruntled patient for no apparent reason and I have written a formal complaint to all of the regional and state level dental associations. Please Beware!
