a month agoI was a patient of Dr. Clodfelter for over 5 years. I, too, felt very enthusiastic about her practice and level of care that I received from seeing all these glowing reviews. But somewhere along the way, the vibe changed, numerous staff members kept coming and going and the level of care eventually became non-existent. I opted to get Invisalign treatment with her which was a grave mistake. Not only did my teeth become worse, but she was unwilling to acknowledge that things were going wrong, told me there were no guarantees and instead tried to upsell me on getting a veneer to fix what was happening if the treatment failed to work. I got a 2nd opinion from an orthodontist and was told that I never should've been recommended Invisalign to begin with and that regular braces are the only way to treat my issue. This was appalling to hear and thus, I demanded treatment be stopped and given a refund. This was not well received as you can imagine. Over the course of a month, I kept trying to get a full refund and trying to get her to remove the Invisalign brackets from my teeth and her staff kept telling me she was busy and would get back to me and never did. I finally had to show up in person unannounced and demand she speak with me. They kept me waiting for 45 minutes and proceeded to have their esthetician try to sell me her products in the interim! Unreal! I've never in my entire life felt more mistreated by a medical professional and wholeheartedly believe she is doing Invisalign for monetary gain vs. doing what is best for the patient. Not once did she refer me to an orthodontist or even suggest it. In the end, she gave me a small portion of my money back with no real apology for ignoring me and doing what it takes to make the situation right. All this to say, if you're someone that just needs cleanings done and you don't have many issues with your teeth, Dr. Clodfelter is a decent enough dentist. But if you have problems with your teeth that you want fixed, there are better professionals out there who aren't looking at you with dollar signs in the back of their mind and actually care enough to do what is best for you, not themselves.
