3 months agoAbsolutely wonderful! The most at home feeling we've ever had. The upmost caring hygienist and Doctor Benton takes the time to understand our specific needs. Absolutely priceless.

7 months agoFriendly hygienists, and I like Dr. Benton. However I feel that they need more help. What was really upsetting for me was that they cancelled my appt made 6 months prior, two weeks before Good Friday. They decided to take the day off. It's been very difficult to reschedule appointments when you have a tight schedule. Last year it took almost 6 months to be seen after I had to reschedule due work obligations. I miss the vibe of the old office in Cortland. Sad to say that I need to find a more patient focused dental group.

5 months agoI would avoid Mint Dental like the plague. My entire family went there over the course of a couple years. During that time they regularly cancelled appointments that had been made months in advance. I arrived for several appointments, with their appointment card in hand only to find they had no record of the appointment. Additionally, they lie about upcharges - Dr. Benton asked me if I wanted a flouride treatment. I asked him directly if it was covered by insurance. He said it was completely covered. Later they billed me for the treatment because it was not covered. We should have ended our relationship with them after they badly burned my wife's lip during a routine filling. Their response was, "Oh, sorry." I had a tooth removed by them and an appointment setup for an implant to be put in 6 months later. 2 weeks before the appointment they canceled because they "couldn't get the part". I made an appointment with another dentist (took another 4 months to see that dentist) - that dentist tells me that it is a very common part that is in stock everywhere. Then, because it was so long between the original extraction and the implant my dental insurance wouldn't cover it. It is now almost two years later and I still haven't been able to get the implant. After that I had an appointment for a cleaning, I didn't respond to their text to confirm my appointment and when I went in, at the scheduled time, they informed me that the appointment had been given away. I highly recommend going to ANY other dentist if you value your time and teeth.

2 months agoWife had a cavity filled in her crowned tooth, after 3 months the tooth disintegrated and she was left a mangled tooth and considerable pain. Called Mint on Friday and they said they could not see her until maybe Monday. I continued to call Mint office for Benton to see her and after the third call they had her come in. When Benton entered the exam room he said to my wife " This is my house and I make the rules ". My wife was visibly upset by this and on top of our son passing away 2 weeks prior made it more difficult. After he did some polishing on the mangled tooth to even out the sharp edges, Benton called us in his secretaries office and said " we were fired and seek a dentist elsewhere ". My wife had to seek a real oral surgeon to repair the tooth. This man and his staff care only about themselves and have zero compassion.

3 months agoHorrible customer service & mentality. Continually did services not requested just to bill them over the years. Recently dropped insurance coverages midyear charging $300 for a routine cleaning that would not be covered with no notification prior to appointment. Cares more about the money than the well being of the patients.
