How anyone could leave a bad review about McAllen Dental Assosiates is beyond me! I hadn’t been to a dentist in years. I don’t say this proudly because I know oral health is very important and is often neglected due to fear. I was referred to Dr. Cazares by a fellow doctor and family friend. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the friendliest staff! After my first consultation with Dr. Cazares, I knew I’d found the best! He was professional, friendly and took the time to ask if I was ok during a procedure I was so nervous about. I look forward to smiling big again! Thank you McAllen Dental Assosiates!

My first visit with a dentist, and I'm so glad I chose McAllen Dental Associates. They took care of my issue promptly. The staff were friendly, professional and showed great compassion in my concerns of going to a dentist to begin with. I highly recommend this place. One of the Best customer service I have experienced.

I do not usually give reviews however, McAllen Dental Associates was so EXCELLENT I had to give them 5 stars! I went in for a dental X-ray exam, cleaning, and one filling. All procedures were fast and accurate. Employees at McAllen Dental were very friendly and professional and I will most certainly go there again. I would also like to thank Dr. Cazares for giving me the option to use Laser instead of injection for the filling on my tooth. It was no more than 5 min and PAINLESS! Overall a great experience. Thank you!!!

Wish I could leave NO STARS on this review but that´s not an option. I’m a senior citizen and throughout my life I’ve seen 4 dentists because I’m a loyal patient and don’t hop around from dentist to dentist. I became Joey Cazares’ patient when my old dentist retired. I had never had any issues with my previous dentists numbing my gums to do dental work. After the usual injection my gum(s) had always got numb and the drilling and filling of a molar never hurt, except when Joey Cazares did any work on my teeth. For some reason, he ALWAYS failed to numb the gums, which always made the procedure excruciatingly painful. He kept telling and insisting that he knew the area was numb because he could see the gum discoloration caused by the anesthetic, but the moment he would start drilling I would just about jump out of the chair in pain. I thought there was something wrong with me because he insisted my gum should be numb and I shouldn’t feel anything, but the pain was horrible as if my gum wasn’t anesthetized. After scolding me for being “difficult”, he would end up giving me some kind of “block” (which was very painful) to achieve the numbing the usual injection should have numbed, and after such “block” my gum would finally get numb and he would proceed with the filling without any more pain. A couple of years later, after enduring two of these painful experiences, I decided to leave Joe Cazares’ practice and go see a different dentist. The new dentist wanted to work on a cavity he found and I was dreading the process of getting it drilled and filled. I didn’t want to be “difficult”, as Joey Cazares had referred to me, but I thought this new dentist was going to have a difficult time numbing my gum, but to my delightful surprise he numbed my gum immediately with only one injection. This confirmed what I had been wondering and suspecting…I wasn’t the problem, the problem was Joey Cazares not knowing how to numb my gums! I haven’t had any more issues getting my gum(s) numb!
