4 years agoDr. Malta and his team are absolutely amazing. Dr. Malta has incredibly knowledgeable, explains completely everything he is doing, needs to be done and what will follow after doing. He does it with such kindness and gentleness that it’s almost unbelievable. His staff is Completely aligned with that culture. They make every patient feel special and unique. I could not more highly recommend a dentist.

6 years agoMy mother was in severe pain on the weekend and Dr. Malta and his assistant Sonya came in on a Sunday morning so she would be out of pain. They ended up pulling a tooth and doing a root canal, and she has been pain free ever since. It's hard to find a dentist so dedicated to their patients that they would go in on a Sunday. We have had nothing but good experiences every time we visit Dr. Malta's office.

4 years agoSeriously stay away from this guy. Dr. Charles Malta has great bedside manners but this does not compensate for his lack of technical discipline. He explains things very well and is clearly knowledgeable but he has been doing dentistry for so long that he has lost his touch. Being a doctor is one of the few professions where the practitioner gets worse over time--outdated practices, low feedback, and very little retraining. I came in with a minor cavity but Dr.Charles Malta didn't look closely enough at how deep he was drilling because he expected my tooth to be the same as his other patients and put the dental almagam right on top of the nerve on my tooth! This is extremely bad! The nerve immediately died a few days later, my root became infected, and now I am in the middle of a root canal procedure at a different dentist. Although Dr.Malta tried his best and had good intentions, I do believe that the discipline and care placed into each and every individual procedure is lacking based on my two experiences with him (initial complaint and the follow-up for the filling). Update: I came into his office for tooth pain on a single tooth and he identified 4 cavities and performed fillings on two of them. One of the fillings failed and caused the tooth to die. The other filling broke apart a few months later. Two more dentists have looked at my teeth and they have both said that three of the four 'cavities' he identified were not really cavities and were simply at risk. HIs practice uses outdated techniques like mercury almagams and traditional film X-ray which increases your radiation exposure and not as easily transferrable from practice to practice. Please stay away from this guy. Your teeth are too important to let this guy work on them.
