2 years agoWe had a GREAT experience with this dental office. From the dental assistants to the dentist. We took our 2 and 4 year old for a routine check up and cleaning and was a little nervous for our 4 year old- he does not like hair cuts or the doctors office.. he has a melt down every time we go.. so we were unsure how the dentist was going to go for him. Right off the bat the dental assistants made it super fun for him. They sang songs, showed him all their tools and made them “fun” -they were so encouraging! I would recommend this dental office over and over! They are truly wonderful

11 months agoMy son had some dental work done by Dr.Bitner and I am absolutely grateful for his work! My son was very scared at the first visit and by the time we left my son said “ mom I like that dentist” he also tried saving my sons teeth instead of pulling them. I would absolutely recommend him if your child is afraid of the dentist! The staff is friendly as well!

3 weeks agoI just want to say Dr John and his staff are AMAZING!!!! My youngest (6) was referred here because her dentist said she was difficult. Dr John couldn’t believe it because she was a champ. Our experience was so awesome because they took such good care of her! I quickly got my other two children into see him and I couldn’t be more happy! My son (9) is special needs and they go above and beyond to make him comfortable! I would like to add we have state insurance and have never been made to feel less here because of it!

a year agoThe dentist here is really friendly, funny and personable - my daughter loves coming here for her dental work! However, the receptionist (middle aged, brown hair with ponytail) that we encountered on our most recent visit was extremely unpleasant and was rude to me for absolutely no reason. Hopefully she gets an attitude adjustment, especially being the first person that you see upon entering the premises. If you're not a people person and treat patients as an inconvenience, then you should consider really a different job, instead of projecting your misery onto others.

3 months agoI have to agree with one of the other reviews on here where a lady stated that her child was possibly treated bad due to the type of insurance they have. She stated that she felt that maybe her child was possibly deemed unworthy of compassionate care. I would have to agree. I feel that because of the type of insurance we have, my daughter was deemed unworthy of being treated with compassion as well. I feel that this place discriminates against family’s that aren’t well off. My daughter wasn’t the least bit afraid of the doctor or the dentist until I started taking her to Bitner Family Dentistry. Her first visit here was just fine until the second time when she had another dentist take care of her and he completely terrified her. The dental assistant in the room was just as bad, if not worse than he was. They were very, very rough with her and not friendly at all.. I ended up leaving the room and waiting for her in the waiting room, in hopes that things would calm down and she would do a better job without me in the room. I made them promise they would treat her good before I left the room because I wasn’t very comfortable leaving her alone. When they were all done and came out to talk with me in the waiting room, I could see how annoyed the dental assistant was with her. She even wanted me to feel bad for how my daughter was acting, in response to being scared to death of the dentist, due to the way they treated her! I waited a few weeks and then decided I’d call and cancel our next appointment that we had with this office, because I had taken some time to think about the way I felt and I felt just as upset after a few weeks, as I did the day my daughter and I left the office. The last straw with this place was the way the lady at the front desk treated me over the phone when I called to cancel my appointment with the office. I asked if I could talk with the dental assistant or the dentist, because I wanted to discuss a few things with them and talk about how my daughter and I felt the last time we were at the office. She was nothing but rude and just made the situation even worse. I can’t stand that women, let alone this whole place. I am sorry I ever even took my poor daughter here in the first place. Now we go to a place over in Racine and believe me.. it’s WELL worth the drive. They treat my daughter and I both very well, and they are EXCELLENT with children! I wish I would have known about this place sooner! I regret taking my daughter to Bitner Family Dentistry and I will NEVER let her suffer like that again! You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for the lack of care you have for children, and the lack of respect you have for the parent!
