5 years agoI have been a patient of Dr Celli's since the early 1980's. I would not go to anyone else. Great doctor, great person.

3 months agoI have been going to Belmont Family Dental for the past 3 years and have been very pleased with the service I have received. Last year I received some functional and aesthetic reshaping by Dr. Hubbard on two teeth that had been bothering me; I was very pleased with the end result. I have also received cleanings from Lindsay multiple times. The cleanings were by far the most thorough and gentle cleanings I have ever received. During these cleanings, Dr. Hubbard has mentioned that she will monitor certain teeth overtime instead of just recommending unnecessary work, like I have experienced elsewhere. Most recently, I saw Dr. Hubbard for a bridge that I received from a different dental practice years ago. The bridge was becoming a source of discomfort and was interfering with chewing. Dr. Hubbard was very accommodating and had me come in the very next day to diagnose the pain. She used xrays to quickly outline a treatment plan. Dr Hubbard worked with a neighboring endodontist to administer a root canal. Once the root canal was completed, she replaced the temporary filling and helped to perfect my bite. She was very patient as we perfected my bite, making several small adjustments over time to ensure it was comfortable. Thanks to her expertise, I can now chew comfortably once again and the bridge is no longer in pain. Overall, I have been very pleased coming to Belmont Family Dental, I never feel like I am being upcharged, or receiving treatments that are not necessary. The entire staff is very polite and helpful.

3 months agoI recently received dentures from Belmont Family Dental. Not an easy thing to admit I didn’t take very good care of my teeth while growing up. Dr Hubbard made me feel so relaxed during the entire process. Her attention to detail and communication with me was above and beyond. Dr Hubbard and her staff are very professional. I would highly recommend Dr Hubbard for all of your dental needs.

3 months agoI started going here 10 years ago, when it was Dr. Celli's practice. I really enjoyed his philosophy of treatment- he was always gentle, kind, and I never felt like he was trying to upsell me on unnecessary treatments and items. Unfortunately, I have not had a positive experience in the last two years. I have found Dr. Hubbard to be unnecessarily short and abrasive, and the practice to be focused much more toward unnecessary treatment. Dr. Hubbard is now advertising for services such as Botox. During my last visit, Dr. Hubbard and the administrative staff were talking to one another about patients BY NAME regarding their balances, with Dr. Hubbard going so far as to tell the admin to "Call [patient's full name] and tell [them] that [they] need to pay [dollar amount] and that Dr. Hubbard was very nice and waived the exam fee." I was astounded not only by the unprofessionalism, but by the unabashed HIPAA violation also. The staff did not seem concerned at all that I was within both eyeshot and earshot of them. Another HIPAA violation occurred when my mother went to see Dr. Hubbard, who proceeded to chide my mother about my stepfather not making an appointment. This was also a HIPAA violation, as HIPAA applies to family members of patients as well. Dr. Hubbard even went so far as to criticize my mother's choice to send my 10-year-old medically complex brother to the dental department at Boston Children's Hospital instead of taking him to Dr. Hubbard herself, despite my mother explaining that my brother's doctors are adamant that he see the dentist at Boston Children's Hospital. This is not the first instance I have encountered in which Dr. Hubbard has been unreceptive to patient concerns. At my last visit, I mentioned to her that I thought my jaw was misaligned, and asked if that is something I should be concerned about. Dr. Hubbard confirmed that my jaw was in fact misaligned, and brusquely replied that the only way to fix it was to have my lower jaw removed and reattached, and is that what I wanted? I told her no, that I was simply asking if it was something to be concerned about. I don't think that inquiry warranted such a rude response. Lastly, dentistry is unquestionably a practice involving close patient contact. Not only does Dr. Hubbard not require her staff to be vaccinated, but is open about such policy. This is extremely unsafe and very irresponsible. I certainly recognize that Dr. Hubbard is running a business, and I do not expect to be spoiled or treated with kid gloves by a dentist, but there is a minimum standard of professionalism and politeness that a medical professional should adhere to. I do not feel that that standard has been met here since Dr. Hubbard took over. It's quite sad to see a practice that once provided honest and safe service take such a downward turn. I have decided to see a new dentist. I encourage others to do the same.
