He had spent 38 days at Gemelli Hospital battling double pneumonia, only to make a remarkable appearance on Easter Sunday, blessing the faithful from the balcony of Saint Peter’s Basilica. The next day, he returned to his Father in Heaven. Today, the world feels a little quieter.
